CalmDynoArt Name Explanation

A ‘dyno’ is when a climber makes a dynamic, powerful movement, using momentum to reach the next hold. It’s not a controlled reach or stretch. Once you commit to it, there’s no turning back. Dynos are some of the coolest moves in climbing. I added ‘calm’ to this because, although the dyno move is not controlled, once you commit, you need to remain calm and focused in order to perform it as best as you can. I relate this concept to the way I create art, with all the behind-the-scenes work, and to what art means to me. It’s a dynamic and exciting movement, yet one that requires a calm and peaceful heart.
